Ms. Eileen Marray and Mr. Vikesh Persaud are the newest recipients of the following Republic Bank University of Guyana Academic Achievement Awards for the graduating students of 2013.

• Ms. Eileen Marray - The Republic Bank Limited Chairman's Award for the Best Graduating Student with a Bachelor's Degree in the Faculty of Social Sciences. She was also the recipient of a monetary gift.

• Mr. Vikesh Persaud - The Republic Bank Limited Award for the Best Graduating Student with a Diploma in Banking and Finance. He also received a monetary gift.

These awards are a component of the Bank’s Power to Make a Difference social investment initiative and are part of an ongoing multifaceted partnership with the University of Guyana as the Bank seeks to instill in students, the Power to Learn and Succeed. Other aspects of this partnership include scholarships; Career Coach to prepare final year students for the world of work; and the provision of Business Journals for the University Library.

This year’s presentation ceremony was held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Republic Bank Limited Head Office, Promenade Court, 155-156 New Market Street, Georgetown.
