Republic Bank Mashramani Pan-o-rama 2009 Steel Band Competition

On Monday, February 9, 2009 at 16:00hrs, Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited hosted a short programme to formally launch the Republic Bank Mashramani Pan-o-rama 2009 Steel Band Competition and officially handed over the newly Refurbished Promenade Gardens Bandstand to the people of Guyana at the Promenade Gardens, Georgetown.

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport Mr. Keith Booker delivered the Feature Address on behalf of Honourable Minister Dr. Frank Anthony while the Welcome Remarks were delivered by Mr. Edwin H. Gooding, Managing Director. The evening’s proceedings were closed with remarks by His Worship the Mayor Hamilton Green and Ms. Michelle Johnson, Manager, Marketing and Communications chaired the proceedings.

During the programme, His Worship the Mayor of the City of Georgetown Hamilton Green, with the assistance of Mr. Edwin H. Gooding performed the symbolic cutting of the ribbon in acceptance of the newly refurbished Bandstand on behalf of the community.

Invitees include Government Ministers and other functionaries, members of the Board of Directors and Senior Management of Republic Bank and representatives of the Mashramani Secretariat and the neighbouring community.
