Here are the features of your Full-Time Student and Part-Time Student Career Builder account:
  1. Interest is applied on a tiered basis on a minimum monthly balance of $5,000.00 and over and paid on the 26th of each month in the same period earned.
  1. Reduced interest rates on “Make it Happen” Educational Loans

  1. Interest is applied on a tiered basis on a minimum monthly balance of $5,000.00 and over and paid on the 26th of each month in the same period earned.

What you will need

Before visiting our branches, ensure you have the following documents:


Full-Time Student and Part-Time Student Career Builder account

Be enrolled in a course/programme that runs for more than one (1) year
Letter of Acceptance or Status Letter from the Institution
One (1) form of Identification - valid Passport or Identification Card
Proof of Address – Utility Bill (Light, Water or Landline bill) issued within the last 8 months
Account cannot be opened jointly or made joint
Age range of customers between 19 - 25
The required amount to open the account (GY$5,000)


Young Working Adult Career Builder account

One (1) form of Identification - valid Passport or Identification Card
Proof of Address – Utility Bill (Light, Water or Landline bill) issued within the last 8 months
TIN Certificate - (also required for foreign nationals working in Guyana)
Account cannot be opened jointly or made joint
Age range of customers between 19 - 25
The required amount to open the account (GY$5,000)
