The league provided an exciting platform for students across Guyana to play football and celebrated the passion, skills and determination of young athletes, while promoting education and sportsmanship.
This initiative was made possible through Republic Bank's social investment programme, The Power To Make A Difference, in which Republic Bank is delighted to have played such a pivotal role in the development of Guyana’s future football stars.
The competitive spirit, character building & discipline skills displayed by the players were essential for life beyond football. Team captains participated in reading sessions where they explored rules related to Mathematics and English Comprehension. This grass roots programme reinforced the importance of education, showcasing the balance between sports and academic development.
The Republic Bank U-18 Football League is more than just a competition; it is a celebration of the power of sports to transform lives and build stronger communities.
