Republic Bank the Official Banking Partner of the ICC Women’s World T20 Tournament

Port of Spain, Trinidad: August 24, 2018: The first ever standalone ICC Womens’ World Twenty 20 is coming to the Caribbean from November 9-24. The tournament was launched in the host countries of Guyana, Antigua and St. Lucia, in late July and aims to create a global movement that recognises women, not only in sport but in all walks of life. The West Indian women are set to defend the T20 title having been victorious in the 2016 tournament.

Cricket is the life blood of the Caribbean, and Republic Bank on the heels of the Caribbean Premier League, is proud to have also been named the official banking partner of the ICC Womens’ World Twenty 20. The interest in women’s cricket has grown, in leaps and bounds globally over the past few years and this tournament can only help to take that interest further. In the Caribbean, whether you are a man or woman, pride and passion are the name of the game when it comes to cricket.
