The National Cultural Centre came alive with the delightful sounds of the Steel Pan on Sunday, February 16, 2014 where a capacity crowd gathered to experience the Republic Bank Mashramani Pan-o-rama Steel Band Competition 2014.
One hundred and fifty young people from across Guyana benefitted from learning and developing the necessary skills required for playing the steelpan when they attended the Republic Bank RightStart Pan Minors Music Literacy Programme 2013, conducted during the period July 08 - 25, 2013. The workshops were held in Regions 4, 5, 6 and 10 and facilited by six instructors.
