Youth Link Programme - Criterion

The Youth Link Apprenticeship Programme is an excellent opportunity for young school leavers to gain an insight into the demands that will be placed on them in the business place, thereby giving the participants a competitive edge in what is still an extremely tight job market.

Republic Bank Limited is committed and proud to continue its involvement with young people. Several secondary school principals are invited to nominate up to two(2) students who, in the opinion of the Principal, would best benefit from this Programme, provided that they satisfy all the criteria.

  1. Students must be interested in participating in the Programme.
  2. Students must have completed studies up to fifth form in subjects such as:
    • Principles of Accounts
    • Principles of Business
    • Social Studies
    • English Language
    • Mathematics
    • Office Procedures
    • Typewriting
  3. The student must be a school leaver between the ages of 16-19 years.
  4. No specific academic qualifications are required but evidence of a satisfactory standard of literacy and numeracy is a necessity.
  5. Each applicant must complete an application form and attach recommendation letters as required on the reverse of the form.
  6. Nominations should be forwarded with a covering letter from the school. Late applications will not be considered.

Envelopes containing the applications may be delivered to any branch of Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited and must be clearly marked:
